There’s nothing you can do to make God love you more or less.

Your sins and your blemishes don’t make God loathe you. Neither your accomplishments nor your achievements impress Him or make Him appreciate you more. So if you’re trying to do more of self-improvements on your own might, stop. Stop. Or if you’re feeling a pang of remorse over your past mistakes, fret not. He sees you just the way he does and He loves you just the way you are. Your life is already settled in His hands. He chose you, period.

Rom. 9 16 says, “so then it is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but of God who shows mercy.”

My point is, just focus your eyes on Jesus and He’ll pave the way for your success. I guess that’s all He really wants from us, isn’t it? For us to just realize that He’s all that really matters in this life and the life to come.
